Shame on Town and Country, MO for killing 110 deer because they are an inconvenience to the neighborhood.
How awful.
And yet…they taste so fine.
I say shame on vegetarians for killing so many innocent plants. Plants do far less damage to communities than an overabundance of deer. So why kill plants?
Good one.
Let me mark that down…that’s about the 200th time of heard that one.
My original post has absolutely nothing to do with being a vegetarian. I’m not. It is more to do with killing animals simply because they are an inconvenience to our more upscale neighborhoods. We take their land and food supply in order to build strip malls and big houses. They have nowhere to go. I don’t agree, but understand, the need to allow hunting to control the population. But to simply hire sharp shooters because they are eating the flowers or messing up the grass makes no sense to me. We have successfully eliminated many of their natural predators in the area so they simply continue to reproduce. Man is killing slowly ruining this wonderful planet and there will be many species that will not be around in 50 years. Our children and grandchildren will miss being able to see many of these wonderful creatures. I’m simply saddened that the human species sees animals, both wild and domesticated, as being so dispensable.

I thought I had to fart but it turned out it was just a poop. False alarm.

Buster looks pretty chunky! LOL
Time to go to bed. I’ve been up since 4:00 a.m. Atticus puked on my bed so I had to get up to clean it. Factor in a few glasses of wine and I’m done. Plus, Sean is coming over to play at 9:15 tomorrow. Do I hear volunteers?
You put everything else before me, unless I change your mind by being upset by it.

so true
Winter is not even officially here and I’m already missing summer. I have a huge moonflower plant that vines all over my deck. It attracts moths that are a bit larger than hummingbirds. You can tell by this picture that they have long tongues that they use to get the nectar from the plants. We really enjoy sitting outside watching them… we’ve had as many as ten of these at one time.
Oooh,
don’t you get creeped out??
No - they are beautiful. They fly all around us.
